I would like to be the first on this forum to wish Google a very happy 10th birthday!

From the April Fool's jokes (toilet broadband, anyone?) to concerns over privacy, we've seen it all...

It's really hard to imgaine what the internet would be without Google and so, here's to another 10 years (by which time it would probably have taken over the world... :D) of easy, fast and not-so-private web-searching.

For some cool facts about Google's history go to Google's tenth birthday site

you're a bit late, skynet is already operational. It's perfectly safe, however, because it's British and not American.

Wow fill us in with the details loony, any links that tell of this "skynet" of yours can help.

    Totally off topic post:

Terminators may soon follow thanks to ASIMOs near perfect humanoid capabilities.

But personally what I want is the Gundam or Front Mission scenario where we learn to pilot kewl mechs.

Can't fill you in, its top secret military technology. Skynet is is the new British military satellite network

Oh OK, I guess I thought wrong, I was still hooked on the old concept of skynet being this super computer that has developed consciousness & therefore believes it is alive & such. But the whole satelite network thing seems to closely follow Rise of the Machines more, as the thing you said is more of a complex system of programs, just like in the last terminator movie.
