WOW the space battle looks awesome OMG. The draw distance and the scale are insane. Yes it has 3D skybox and volumetric effects. Like volumetric cloud not just matte painting( uncharted 2 is painting) energy sword or any light object will cast light over the environment. Plasma will be its own like source. So what do you guys think?
I think we already have a Halo Reach Thread. XD But yeah, the game is gonna be pretty damn good looking. I like how they've finally implemented motion capture, so we get some kick ass death animations, and faces that don't talk like sock puppets. Speaking of faces, the character human models actually look good too, in Halo 3 they looks pretty shitty (Mainly just on random marines, not as much main characters), but they looked a bit better in ODST (They based all the characters appearances off of that of their voice actors, and all but Dare looked good, they didn't capture the hotness of Tricia Helfer all to well). Mighty shame there's only 1 space battle, but oh well. I still want an official confirmation for open world gameplay, so far it looks like levels, we haven't seen a map or anything, just a compass that's likely just for detail.
First 5000 posts about starcraft 2 Now 5000 posts about Halo reach when you like a game, you REALLY like it
Yeah but yours is on the verge of creepy dude. If Halo Reach and Starcraft 2 were people you would probably be hit with stalking.
I enjoy sc2 so much but Halo: Reach get me excited every time a new trailer or a written impression shows up.
lol After the disappointment of halo 3 I will have to try it before i hand over my hard earned cash. Never have i seen a game so overrated as halo 3, the reviewers were certainly bought and i don't trust any halo review now.
Every game say that, most of the time the main storyline lasts for at the very best, 30~40 hours. Btw is already time to start closing that topics... I was about to send a mail to the mods complaining about the excessive Pokemon B&W topics... then StarCraft 2 showed up... now Halo.... FFS
graphics king? no. crysis 2 and killzone 3 are currently hauling ass on that position. these two games focus heavily on environments, particle effects, animations, and lighting; campaign may, or may not, be as good as the graphics. the graphic overhaul on halo: reach is amazing though, but the skybox and volumetric clouds(not really sure how many people stare at the clouds) have already been done with great results... by those two games, or just their predecessors... energy swords casting light, that's not saying much, tbh... great thing, but not amazing. overall, it looks REALLY amazing and makes me miss my 360.
It already does, but there's only a couple games that run 1080p natively (pretty sure they're arcade games too). Console games are'nt at that level of resolution yet.
Irrelevant. You're masturbating over how good the graphics are going to be in this thread. Graphics =/= semi-open gameplay. Crysis 2 could be an on-rails shooter and still have better graphics.
i don't think that has anything to do with graphics... besides, consoles can't exactly handle large worlds without toning down the graphics. it's noticeable in halo:reach, but it still looks fantastic despite that.
