Yep I got the vista only halo 2, now for the questions...

With the first one, I could configure every control aspect, what each stick does...

But in this one, it's preset, which I don't mind normally but I have a major bug...

Some of the buttons are in oppisite directions to what the manual says (melee is where jump is, etc) and has had me jumping out of banshee's in midair to my death...

BUT THE WORSE ONE IS THE STICKS!

My second stick (for aiming) is in oppisite mode, pushing up on this stick makes it think it goes LEFT and doing left is UP!

I'm using a ps2 fake controller, the main stick is fine (none of that) and I will get used to the button troubles, but the sticks need to be changed, the game has preset command configs, I have tried inverting the sticks (pushing right is up now...) and I can't find an option to just change the controller to my own way (the keyboard option is keyboard and mouse only, unlike halo 1 where pad options can be placed here)...

Any ideas-or should I waste 60 bucks on a 360 controller/suffer with this pad/suffer learning to use keyboard on a laptop?

i'd get a 360 controller well i have the receiver already anyway.

yes its spending more then you want to probably but the plus points are that nearly every game (controller based)is being made for the 360 controller in mind, its more comfortable and its reliable and won't break like every other cheap ps2 style controller.

It may not rumble, but it has saved me plenty of money and time since it reminds me of the old snes pads XD

To be honest, I hate microsoft stuff, I only bought the halo games because they were fun (only fun microsoft game I reckon) and this might be my last pc game...my harddrive is almost full from all of my music (not much memory or jsut a music junkie-you be the judge) so that's the end.

I will keep that in mind, I can still play the game (on the easy setting :( ) but playing agaist the flood or higher presents problems if strafing is confussed with looking up...

I will keep this in mind, but any other solutions/work arounds?
