Half-Life 2 error

    When i get to a checkpoint it pauses then says The instruction at "012e0d12d" referenced memory at "0x0ff5b018". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program.Anyone know a fix for this?

    run a memory tester such as memtest 86+ overnight

    Nvm just got it to work,but i cant use cheats
