Hi guys, and sorry if this has been posted or that this is in the wrong section. But anyway, to the topic, my teacher has given us a assignment to write a report on retro games and well, we have to point out the faults of these games and how we can improve on them, so i decided to write a report on bad games. But here's the problem, there are so many games out there and how bad a game is, it is pretty subjective. I could say that Lufia sucks(which it does not) and then there will be guys who say Lufia rocks.. So i was wondering could anyone recommend any retro bad games that u had played before, i like to hear your opinion on them, u do not have to tell me the reason. U could just put it down as for example: Fester Quest for NES sucks or something like this and since i need to write about retro games, i would appreciate if u could mentioned a game that was made either during 1990 or before 1990s. Thanks for your help and sorry for any painful memories resurfacing. :'(
Worst retro game ever: E.T. Controls were horrible. You were never told where to go or what to do. I personally never made it past 2 minutes into the game because I always fell down a hole and could never get out.
You just beat me to post E.T. as well, lol. E.T. was awful and dealt huge damage to the games industry at the time. It took quite a few years after this disaster before games could be taken seriously again.
nuts, everyone that i met in school mentioned ET, so any other retro games beside that is just plain awful or slightly bad in ur opinion? and thanks guys for moving it to the right section.
I kinda liked E.T. People just didn't give it much of a chance. I can name a worse game right now...Ikari Warriors for the NES. So why did this game suck, a multitude of reasons and I'll list them. Reason 1 - Speed. The speed in this game is HORRIBLY sluggish and makes the game completely unplayable, the speed is probably why the control is unresponsive. Reason 2 - Gameplay. Completely broken, It's hard to aim at enemy soliders and shoot properly. The levels last for ever and enemies stay on the screen forever after killing them a few seconds ago, rubbish. Reason 3 - bad game design, you just go up, very, very slowly. Thats it you go up and shoot or throw gernades. This game is terrible. Play it yourself if you dont' believe me. Ikari warriors on the NES makes ET look like a master piece.
okay, so current list - ET [atari] (unlikely since it seems that many of my peers are gona write about this anyway) - Ikari warrior [nes] maybe since i didn't even heard about this game in the first place cool, keep it coming
oops, guys sorry about that but: i just realised something: edit1: oops, it has to be an early game for classic consoles (Atari VCS, Intellivision), Arcades or 8bit Home Computers (ZX Spectrum, C64). edit2: i guess nes would still be acceptable.
try Ring King. man is that game a total mess, tons of unintentional homo overtones, like fighters hugging instead of clinching, and the one during the round intervals (im not going to spoil you, just check it out yourself ).
I tried playing it. After a few wolves (wargs?) I ended up dying. It was definitely hard. (For me at least)
i bet its not as tough as milon secret castle? well, it isn't really... just frustrating what with all the secrets and stuff, in the end, i am firing in the air
Predator, Werewolf: The Last Warrior Pro Wrestling Action 52 All on NES htat can be added to the suck list.
haha, should i thank god that i have never heard of these games before? Anyway thanks guys, now all i have to is to dl these games, and find a day to play them
Kemco's Superman Game, extremely weird because as Clark Kent, you get hurt by bullets WTF!? Adventure Island 1, extemely effin' HARD! Adventure Island 2 & 3. Why the hell they still used that annoying lifebar that was actually a timer!?
