GTA Problem

I know this is a really old problem but i can't get this game to work. I've just patched something for the first time so not sure if i've done it right, but followed some instructions I saw on this forum.

I downloaded dslazy, selected the clean GTA file, clicked on unpack, then replaced the ARM7 and ARM9 files with ones that I got from unpacking Bomberman 2, then packed it and replaced the original file (i have a back up clean GTA rom on disc). I've put this on my card, which is a DSTT with the newest 1.17 firmware. It will create a save file but once the rom has loaded it's just a white screen. I don't get as far as the game menu or anything like that, it's just white straight away.

Did i do something wrong?

You can't patch it using ARM7/9 from another game, can you?

Mikeac - i'm new to this patching thing so i'm not sure. But from what i've read, it tells you to use an ARM7 patch from a game you know already works on your ds and use it to replace the ARM7 on the game that doesn't work. Not that this worked when i tried it!

 

Arm 7 not 9, I have patched that game myself and dose work!

 

Oh right. Where do you get the ARM 9 from then, if not from an old game? Just for future reference Jhon. Thanks.

 

I don't think its arm 9.
Well if your looking for arm9,
then try youtube or something mainly because
they have guides.

 

Use dslazy to unpack your rom , after unpacked, place the arm7 patch into your unpack rom folder, copy and replace , then pack it backup again into a new rom, then rename your rom
