GTA CE cheats

After the arm7 patch, i can not use cheats for this game.
i know i need to use r4cce but how do i use it?

 

well if you need cheats just go to a cheat site look at what they have for codes (not number and letter codes) and put in the compiantipn and get what you want

Use a program such as R4CCE. Load your database file (usrcheat.dat), find the Game entry for whatever ID you want to fix, and find the GameID form on the right side of the software. Click the ... Button and load the patched NDS ROM, which will overwrite with it's changed GameID. Then just save your changes.

 

but the codes arent permanent.
are they?

and how do i enable cheats just for GTA CW (not the arrow and button thing)
i read that the R4 only allows a certain number of cheats to be enabled.

Start R4CCE
Open the cheats database you downloaded from http://cheats.gbatemp.net/
Find the GTA entry
Click on the "..." next to the Game ID
Find the Patched GTA ROM on your computer.
Open it and it will load the Game ID of the patched ROM.
Save the changes, and use the new database.

I forgot to mention make a new usrcheat.dat in a new folder, Copying over the original don't tend to work to well with R4cce , For some resion

But you can copy over the original one thats on your card, with the new created usrcheat.dat

 

There are no issues when doing that.

 

Hmm...is it possible for me to copy the cheat codes from the old usrcheat.dat into the new one?
Because i am perfectly happy with the old cheats.

 

The way you were told to do it doesn't change the cheats, only the game ID they work for.

 

The card identifies the games by their Game ID. It identifies what cheats go with what games by the Game ID.
ROM and Cheat Database Entries must have the same Game ID in order to use them together.
