Greetings...hey?! Do people actually read these things?

Hey all!

Long time lurker first time poster came aross this site during a google search and I was amazed this has to be one of the better
sites I have come across.

I been into the emulation scene for quite a few years and its been going strong since it all started on a afternoon and I discovered
I could play NES games on my PC and I enjoyed showing it off to friends and make them think I was some kind of computer wiz then
I would tell the truth and show them the reality of it all.

But I am in no way a freeloader about emulation I have a healthy collection of game systems and games for example Atari 2600,
Turbo Graphix 16, Playstation 1 and 2 just to name a few my current newer systems are Wii and a DSlite. I am more into the "Old School"
Games and Systems, but I do enjoy some of the new stuff as well.

Besides my game addiction I also still read ycomics and graphic novels currently reading Watchmen (can't belive I waited this long to finally read it)
and probably my favorite company is DC comics mostly for Batman which I have enjoyed since I was a kid.

I like reading next to gaming even though it takes me forever to finish a book, my favorite authors are Terry Pratchett,RA Salvatore,Margaret Weis
and Tracy Hickman (Bones of the Dragon,Death Gate Cycle) and I read a Stephen King novel every now and then mainly so I can compare it to the movie version and annoy people by telling them what was left out of the film.

Music tastes...sometimes it changes, at times I am into Hard Rock then I change to Heavy Metal, then I go way crazy and go to Death Metal which I actually enjoy the most to the dismay of my wife who likes the Hair Bands of the 80s (nice mix huh?)

Well anyway thats about all I have on hand to bore you with so thanks for all who actually got this far.

I see you've also been drawn here because of the "magic" & joy that the emulation scene has given us. And who's to blame you, playing these classics lets us relive childhood memories... of when we beat our other friends in an old game or the times we bopped our relatives' heads because they were hogging the controller/s, ROFL!
