Greetings and salutations! I'm GoldenTalesGeek!

Hello, my username is GoldenTalesGeek. So you guys don't flood me with questions as to what it means, I'll provide a rather simple explanation: basically, it's a combo of 2 of my favorite RPG series -Golden Sun and Tales- and the word "geek", because I'm not the least bit ashamed to admit that I am one.

I found RomUlation via a Google search for a new website to download Nintendo DS ROMs because I was having a very personal disagreement with the higher-ups of the last site I went to for them. I won't bore you with the details, but let's just say that there were some horribly malicious and untrue things being said about me, and I was having no luck whatsoever in trying to salvage my reputation, which was up until that point of being a nice guy who's willing to help out anyone who needed it.

I've been playing video games since I was a child. I used to play the NES that belonged to both of my older brothers. With their permission, of course. The same yielded true when they got their SNES. Once I got my own Game Boy, I've been a fan of handheld games, even up to getting my DS Lite. Right now, I'm neutral on this whole "console war" we've got going on right now with the Wii, XBox 360, and the PS3. Personally, I wish we didn't have console wars in this generation of gaming in the first place. While it may be cool for younger children to bicker about whether Mario or Sonic is better, grown men like me complaining about trivial stuff like processor speed and other stuff like that is horribly sad. Although, I'm personally leaning more towards the Wii out of all three. But it's not because I've grown up with Nintendo, or that I'm a full-blown Nintendo loyalist, even though I do own a GameCube. I've actually tried out all three consoles from my wide group of friends who own each of them, and have personally had a helluva lot more fun playing on the Wii than the other two. To me, games are supposed to be fun, as well as entertaining and interesting.

Aside from video games, I also enjoy reading, listening to music, writing fanfiction, and also watching TV. I mostly like reading science fiction and fantasy, but I'll read almost anything that peaks my interest. I love listening to nearly any genre of music, but I primarily listen to orchestral music that you would hear in movies and certain TV shows. Like John Williams' Harry Potter music, and Murray Gold's fantastic pieces for Doctor Who. Some of my favorite TV shows are CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: NY, NCIS, Farscape, Doctor Who, Torchwood, and several others. If there are people on here who are also fans of these shows -particularly Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Farscape- I'd love to hear from you.

I live in the USA, even though I have a strong love for British shows. I blame my brothers for that, honestly. They showed me Monty Python's Flying Circus at a young age, and I've been hooked on British stuff ever since. Well, that and my mother having DVDs of the old version Doctor Who when Tom Baker played the role. I personally prefer David Tennant nowadays, and I will be sad to see him go at the end of this year. I sincerely hope Matt Smith does good, but I'll reserve my judgment for when I see the first couple of episodes of him in action.

Well, hopefully that's more than enough insight into the madness that is me, the GoldenTalesGeek. By the way, if you wish to shorten my username so you don't have to type it all out, I personally prefer either "Golden" or "GTG". Thanks!
