I've recently reinstalled Windows XP for my laptop and I have recently installed new sound drivers but I cannot reinstall the video drivers. I do not know what my graphics card is and I cannot check it through the computer, the driver is not yet installed.
My problem is how do I find out the type of my graphics card while it is not yet installed?

I've tried dxdiag and msconfig and they cannot detect it.
Sorry but I am a noob at these stuff

As a general rule, you should always keep the discs that come with your laptops for cases like this. They carry rebranded and special branded components a lot of the time that you will have trouble finding specific drivers for. The IT guy at work refuses to format laptops that he doesn't have the original discs for. He says it's not worth the trouble.

its not usually that difficult, but in some cases it can be.

I tried Dr. Hardware 2009 but it didn't show any video card (I ran the test)
I'm certain there is a video card there.

test wont work. Go to the hardware page, then the PCI bus tab. It will be shown in the list.
