I've been reading up about the dream world and it says you need to register your game in order to use it. Does this mean that we can't use it if we're using a rom or is this just standard nintendo bs?
Pretty sure people have connect to the dream world just fine with a ROM already. I think your DS just has to be able to connect straight to the website. I remember that GTA: Chinatown Wars sent a very specific event to your game via a wi-fi event initiated on their website. It was weird.
