Hi I'm looking for good recording hardware, in the £40 range. I know it will be a dazzle but just asking for personal experience. Any links would be helpful if it was available to get to the UK. Also I want it obviously to record sound and 60hz +.
I have a pinnacle moviebox, if you can get one with a fan in it and you can put up with being forced to use their shit software that does the job well. (mine overheats after 30 minutes and starts dropping frames like crazy, hence I said to get one with a fan). I paid about £100 for that a number of years ago, and I would rank pinnacle as far better than dazzle. Ironically, the capture device I use the most is a medion PCMCIA capture card I got free with a laptop, it has never dropped a single frame even after hours of continuous use. 60hz might be a problem because the UK standard is 50hz.
