My parents want to buy me a PC from Dell for my B-Day. I was wondering if these cards could run all the recent games like CODMW2, or GTA IV. Specs: Intel® Pentium™ Dual-Core processor E5200 (2.5GHz, 800MHz, 2MB cache)---CPU Windows® 7 Home Premium (32 BIT)--OS 1.024 MB 800 MHz Single Channel DDR2 SDRAM [1 x 1.024]---MEMORY 160GB (7.200 rpm) Seriële ATA-hard drive with 8 MB DataBurst™-cache---HARD DRIVE 1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT220 (DVI, VGA, HDMI---GRAPHICS 16X DVD ROM For Win7---CD DRIVE
16 MB?? Jeez, thats alot. But will it still be able to play decent games? Whats the difference if the ram is a little less?
since gta iv got compability bugs, you'll need a faster computer to run it, and won't run in max config. Try a core 2 quad q9650 3.0ghz. nvidia geforce 9800 gt. hd 32 gb or bigger. ram 4gb fits well.
Everything is good (Well, it's better than my PC!) My PC Specs (you should feel lucky to get a new pc) 256MB RAM AMD Athlon 1800+ @ 1.53 GHZ 40 GB HHD NVIDIA GeForce 4 440 MX Moving on, I suggest you get 2 or more GB of RAM (even if it is Windows 7) Bigger hard drive (240GB or more) If you know games like we do, Pentium is not enough! DUAL-CORE such as the intel Core 2 Duo will be enough. If your parentsdon;t know PC, ask for Quad-Core and think of it as this. What is faster? A highway with 1 line (Pentium), 2 lines (Dual-Core: Core 2 Duo) or 4 lanes on a highway (Quad-Core)? Above is something I always use when suggesting PC related stuff to it (as in processors) In my opinion, that PC is probably better off not high-end games (COD:MF2 or GTA4 or even AVATAR the Game) That PC is still good for surfing, etc. but not for gaming. Trust me (and us), get a better one!
I like that Quote =) Not to sound like a A**, but do you mean if their all the same clock speed they go down the same speed? Just checking =)
yes. More cores is only a benefit for running multiple applications, or applications specificially designed to take advantage of multiple cores.
