I have an R4 and I am sick of it, especially after hearing how Mario and Luigi 3 (US) doesn't work! So i am looking at new carts to buy. I was wondering, what ones do people recommend? The CycloDS looks good, but I am not sure which one has best game compatibility.
CycloDS is definitely top of the line for the DS/DS Lite when it comes to compatibility. It's also top of the line when it comes to price tag. If you have, or have any thought of getting, a DSi, you will want to go with an Acekard2i, SupercardDSOnei, or EZFlashVi, those are considered good cards for the DSi (and they also work with the DS/DS Lite).
I have the same problem. The price for the Cyclo is too much for me. I've been looking around and it seems some M3 and some Acekard are the most popular cheaper ones. Which one of those two would be best or is there one out there that's even better? All I really want is the ability to play games and constant support and updates for that card so I can actually play games like Mario and Luigi 3...

do u NEED a dsi to use acekard2i? I'm guessing you do, but maybe... Well, i like the idea of the CycloDS because of the in game menu.
No, you do not need a DSi to use the DSi compatible flashcarts, they will work on the DSi, DS, DSLite, etc.
CycloDS works with the DS and the DS Lite. It can use any size SD or SDHC card. I believe it still has a limit to the maximum number of files allowed to be displayed in a single directory. Meaning if you have a TON of games on the card, you will have to use multiple folders. But I believe this is a SDHC hardware issue, not an issue with the flashcarts in general.
Aha,another thing I didnt know. Was thinking the OP could sell his r4cart and that money could go towards a better cart.That deal-extremes stuff comes from Hong Kong taking 14 days.....
I got my CycloDS from realhotstuff in less than two days (and I didn't even pay shipping, just standard free shipping). My TOOL battery from dealextreme took over two weeks to get here from Hong Kong though. When it finally showed up I had completely forgotten that I ordered it.
My tool battery would only take 1 day shipping if its ordered before 4pm from PandoraBattery.co.uk.But it only went from England to Scotland.My R4DS cart came in about 4 days from the Canadian site....
