Im not sure if this in the right section but watever ^^.

Ok, im looking for a educational game, something that isnt like brain age since it isnt really that educational imo.

my younger bro is 9 years old.

so something like math blasters and the prime adventure sounds great..

i want mainly solid math games for ex my math coach etc.

another thing that caught my eye was some kind of english/ spelling...

well basicly what im trying to state here is, i want a game that couild be fun, but something giving real stuff. not like brain age or big brain academy bullshit.

    well thanks

    probably my 1st post lol

    ps

    any new good games out?

i alreayd got kingdom hearts, waiting for ragnarok and phantasy star 0 etc.

    Educational huh . . .
My first thought was the "Professor Layton" games, but that doesn't really give you anything "real", as in usable. It IS much more entertaining than "Brain Age" and co.
A word on the "Brain Age bullshit" - though purely anecdotal, a LOT of people claim that games like those improved their mental abilities. Some of them actually have real improvements (better test scores, "alertness", etc.). Whether or not "Brain Age" or similar games actually produced these results DIRECTLY is unknown. Basically, these games really did improve these people's abilities, but probably only because of the placebo effect.

A truly useful "game" is "Personal Trainer: Cooking". Yeah, that counts as educational AND useful, though it's not really a game . . .
Also, try some of the language coaches. Their practical value is questionable, (Japanese Coach didn't really help with my anime viewing experience), but I suppose it teaches you the basics (I wouldn't know what the basic stuff are in other countries).
Hope that helps a little - your standards eliminated most of the "educational" games out there.
