Ah, but Goldeneye to XBLA was something that was confirmed to be happening by all parties....but then Nintendo pulled the plug due to a disagreement with Microsoft over monetary issues...
Well, since Nintendo owned the original game, but Rare developed it and is now with Microsoft, its kinda hard to choose sides. But I gotta replay this. And with LIVE? Who could resist!
i don't blame nintendo for this, microsoft would do the same thing if bungie decides to release marathon or the likes to other companies in a similar situation.
There is a disagreement on whether Nintendo would get a once off fee ...or royalties on every download of Goldeneye.... I think Nintendo are being stubborn...They're not going to remake Goldeneye without Rare.... so why not take the fee and put it to use elsewhere....?
nintendo will keep goldeneye 007 for their platforms only, and hopefully, if a ff7 remake does happen, it will be for ps3 only, like the tech demo for ff7 implies, although the chances of a ff7 remake are slim and none so...

There's a big difference between Halo and Goldeneye.... Any future Halo games will be big moneyspinners.... Is Goldeneye on XBLA going to make that kind of cash ?
