Well i got banned from RomUlation for 3 days for masking [nobbc]www.justf*ckinggoogleit.com[/nobbc] (without the *) with "Clicky " i therefore got banned as i had done it before. Believe me those three days were the worst of my life it is soooooooo hard to miss out on the forums.... take my advice, boys and girls DON'T ANGER MODS! OR ADMINS EITHER! or you'll regret it, and soon be facepalming, like Cpt. Jean-Luc Picard over here (thanks loonylion) [facepalm]

masking links was not the only reason you got banned, but contributed to it. also it's spelt Jean-Luc, though you are correct that it is pronounced Jon. He's French.
Mods can request that a user is banned, and very rarely do we see a need to veto their request. Generally though, it is a global mod that makes the request, as a second offence is dealt with by a global mod in most cases. A third offence is when a global will request a ban.
masking links, for example saying (don't ban me for this!! i'm trying to explain!! www.romulation.net saying "go click on it! it's romulation.net" whereas if you click on it you will find that that is actually google.com that is masking
