Hey everyone, I purchased an acekard yesterday to get rid of my r4 clone. I have a few questions about said acekard. But first of all what I know already: -The best firmware is called Akaio and gets updated regulary -I'll have to download a folder called _aio or something and a .nds file. I have to put both of them on my FAT32 formated sd-card. -I shouldn't put roms in said _aio folder since it's hidden by default (or is that only an issue with the original firmware?) Now what I don't understand: -It seems like I have to download loaders seperatly and put them in another folder? -There seems to be a Wifi Plugin. Do I have to download that one aswell and put in another folder? Does that one only mean wifi support when I'm using the Akaio Menu or is it for Wifi support in games aswell? -Is there a place where I can see what the Akaio Firmware can do? Or can it only play games?
The loaders will automatically be in the folder when you download akaio, just put all the files on your micro sd card and put some games on and you will be good to go. New loaders most likely won't come out anymore, just new AKAIO versions
But ensure to download the latest loaders. They have been updated since. http://akaio.gbatemp.net/nloaders/
Thanks for the help guys. What about my other two questions? Does Akaio come with Wifi support or do I have to download the wifi plugin? Also is that wifi plugin for wifi support in general (eg. in games) or for the akaio menu only? And what can the Akaio Firmware do beside playing games?
AKIO does support WIFI. When you play Pokemon Heart gold or GTA Chinatown Wars you can use WIFI.( you will need to setup a connection) in your WIFI settings.
No the WIFI plug in is pressent when you put AKIO on your SD card __AIO/plugin and there you find wfplugin.ak4
Here is some good info. http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php?title=AKAIO It's about AKAIO, not the Official Acekard menu. But AKAIO is better anyway.
