Personally I'd go for something cheaper. Like this:
    http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Dual-Action-Game-Pad/dp/B0000ALFCI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1287956218&sr=8-1

hmmm.. I'll think about that, like something similar but bigger, because my hands are HUGE ;P
And also, i don't like amazon...i've ordered 3 things from them, and got none of'em T_T

EDIT: Hey Tirith, ya think this one will work?

Where do you live? Because amazon is really good at shipping and just as good at returns/refunds. Seems to me like you may have a shipping issue caused by being in a odd location.

I have a wireless version similar to that model.
    Here.

It works just fine. I got it discounted, which is the only reason I bought it. Otherwise I would have bought the one with the cord, since it's cheaper.
I don't use the Rumble feature, so it's not something I normally pay extra for. Or the cordless feature, since I'm usually within 6 feet of the PC anyway, and don't like using batteries.

I still prefer the cheap, corded, rumble-free playstation knockoffs from Logitech. I've never had one fail on me, and for emulating, they work just fine.

I actually have the one Tirith quoted, and it's not all that bad.
After some time, the buttons will tend to stick, and the pad itself goes loose quickly.
But by then you'll have enough funds saved up to buy another one.
These pads aren't like the old NES pads that lasted a long time, they're pretty much disposable after use.

I brought mine from Best Buy for 24.95$USD, and it lasted for 11 months, so I'd say I got my monies worth from it.

I got this one. It's got rumble and an unusual feature; it lets you swap the sticks both PS2 style and XBOX style. It's called Saitek Cyborg.

[IMG] the gray area can be flipped around.

I can't really give you a site for it tho since I got mine at a US best buy (and I don't know where you are, or if there's best buys there.

Look around though, this was really cheap, like 15-20$. It also works with PCs, PS1s, PS2s and PS3s. It also lets you use analog control with PS1 games that aren't supposed to have it, for some reason XD

Dude that one is sweet looking, one question. Does it feel flimsy? I mean is it sturdy and reliable as far as construction and usage go?

*The Logitech controllers aren't bad, just make sure you keep your receipts, as I had one that was a dud a few years ago, and I couldn't exchange it, due to the fact I dropped my receipt into my trash and took it out the next day*

if you are wanting to get a xbox 360 controller, make sure it is a wired one since wireless controllers dont work on pc

I'm lucky to live in a country where cheap knockoffs of controllers exist, ranging from a $6 rumble controller to a $9 Arcade Joystick. So I have an assload of controllers and an arcade stick (not really that great, but it's pretty serviceable)

That controller? It's the sturdiest I've ever had! :D It's also VERRY bulky, much heavier than the 360 controller (which is obviously the design it's based off of.) The swapping mechanism works really well too, never had any issues with connectivity or anything like that.

Shouldn't Xbox wireless controllers work on Windows, since Microsoft did make them.

There's a difference between [IMG] and [IMG]
You need to get one that's compatible for Windows.

i would go for something cheaper but really works i don't really think that you should pay a bunch of money for something that won't work well so check some reviews before you buy it

I know it's been 30 days since last post, but hasn't anyone thought of using a PS3 Sixaxis controller? That's what I use and it's never done me wrong...

And since I have a PS3, it's dual purpose. lol
