getting a desktop

    so I already got all the parts but the only thing missing is the motherboard. what kind of a motherboard can handle intel i3 processor?

    depends on what socket the processor needs. You haven't really done this sensibly because everything is dependent on the motherboard.

    Now you need to find a motherboard that has the correct socket for the processor, will accept that specific processor (power and fsb wise), has enough space around the socket for the CPU cooler, takes the type of RAM you have, at the speed you have, and accepts the number and size of ram modules you have, the ram modules must not be too close to the CPU cooler, the board must fit the case you have chosen and must accept the connectors on your chosen power supply.

    Motherboard should be one of the first things you choose, not the last.
