G'day, Fair Dinkum, and Every Other Aussie Stereotypical Phrase, Romulation!

Heya everyone, the name's Kaze Kyou :]

Actually, I've been a member of RomUlation since 2007, but with life being turbulent and all, I decided to make a new account. Also, I've had this account for a month or two now, and have finally decided to pop in and say hi to mark the start of my University mid-semester break.

For those who's brains have clicked, don't worry, there's nothing wrong with your brain - I am the same Kaze Kyou as the one in NDS-Roms (one of the affiliate sites for Romulation). However, due to the internal conflict that went on there (not to mention the crappiness that went on with life for a whie), collided and caused a massive implosion of black holes, egos and William Shatners. Actually, I just quit from that site, but you get the idea.

I was one of the admins/mods over there, and wrote for the news pages every now and then. I also assumed the names of Cake Ninja and CZ and hung out in the drama-filled shoutbox and IRC. Those were the days. It's too bad that the management of NDS-Roms was such a mess, with power-trips, deluded members and constant site screw-ups causing the one great alternative site to Romulation to fall hard.

But I digress. While I was one of the bigwigs over there, I much appreciated the simpler style and format to Romulation and always (now that NDS-Roms is down) downloaded from here rather than "there". xD So here I am. It's actually nice to walk among the non admin-mod crowd. xD

Activities? I like to compose music as much as possible... but given the free time I am usually given that's hardly any time xD. I play the piano and like to draw every now and then. The drawing hobby ties in with my studies, and at the moment I've almost finished my Bachelor of Architectural Studies at Melbourne Uni.

I don't have a particular brand name that I follow religiously, but since Nintendo have been my gateway to the videogaming world since the start, I tend to favour Nintendo consoles. That's not to say I avoid other consoles: In fact, my PSP and PS3 get regular plays in between my Nintendo sessions but again, with the amount of free time I have, I usually stick to the DS for a pick-up-and-play experience.

Gaming genres? Yeah, I'm copying/pasting the example from the sticky thread xD but I don't really have a genre I particularly stick to. All I know is that I'm very anti-RPG, and RTS games don't really do much for me. Everything else is fair game (if you'll excuse the pun).

When I'm not drawing or writing music, I sit on my relatively cushiony butt and watch movies. Like games, I don't have any particular movies I favour. If it's good, it's good.

And if my title hasn't given it away, or where I study, then here's the confirmation: I'm an Aussie. Some Cantonese members in here might snigger if that word is said with a certain accent, but again I digress. And for the curious (and for those who used to know me at NDS-Roms), yes: I'm aware that females don't exist on the internet, so going by that I shouldn't exist on these forums. Oh well, FML etc etc. D:

Anyhoo, it's great to be here :]. About time I got my ass off the couch/seat/bed/suplex-posed-Barack-Obama and said hi to the wonderful Romulation community!

I kid, we're better than that. Although you should try our IRC. We tend to like people who can actually string together a coherent sentence, they're so rare these days.
