In order to play GBA games on your DS you need a card that plugs into the Slot 2 (GBA Slot) of your DS.

A good one is the EZFlash 3 in 1. You can find it at www.dealextreme.com

Some users report that EZFlash 3 in 1 only works with NDS Lite, not sure if that is 100% true though.

It won't work in a DS Phat unless you can get one in a larger casing, but those are hard to come by. As for the DSi that's obviously not going to work.

I don't quite understand what you're saying, but it seems like you're saying my post was stating the obvious. I was just saying that most won't work in the original, and the reason people say it doesn't work is probably because the cartridge is too small. Sorry for making such a useless post though.

I have a EZFlash 3 in 1 that works for my DS Phat. You have to get the "GBA Sized" one. The one built for the NDS Lite is shorter and won't insert fully into the Phat, so it won't work.

You can find the GBA Sized one here:

I purchased the iplayer.......flawless execution of gba roms....sweet....you need the darkchen gba software though..good investment as far as im concerned......good luck :) it needs to be upgraded for the dsi though...the upgrade is on the website of iplayer.....read carefully!

DS Phat is the original DS.
DS Lite is a smaller version.

The case of the DS Phat is different, and I do not believe the EZFlash 3 in 1 built for the DS Lite will fit in the DS Phat. They have a "GBA Sized" EZFlash,

This is the one for the NDS Lite:

This is the GBA Sized version:
    http://realhotstuff.com/expansion-pack-size-p-212.html

    See the difference?

you can play gba on the ds or dsi without a gba flashcart, but the cart doesn't support nds roms.....and it's fairly expensive

it's called the iplayer, but it's for movies and music, but homebrew is supported and the gba emulator uses the extra power of the iplayer to run the games.

i personally think that it's a waste of money........but just putting it out there.....

i use EZ flash iv for my gba sp.......but i'm gonna give it to one of my brothers because i have gpsp now...........so it's kinda useless!!

    It's built in I believe.

But that cart won't play anything else like ds or other emulators.

    It's a media app really.

Depends if your using just a real gba cart or an ezy 3 in one flash cart.

No, I'm pretty sure the iPlayer supports microSDHC cards. Built-in storage is pretty much a thing of the past with flashcarts.
