Last time I've played this game when I was in primary school. That was amazing! Plaing as a great strategist, helping a chieftain's doughter to find revenge... sweet! And all of that enemies, thinking, colorfull people... ahh, good, old times. Now I tried to play it again - the story about the poor girl and a boy, that wanted to help her... So flat! They're meeting several knight, that want to help them, the girl is very important... bla bla bla. So boring storyline, for me, I can't handle. That's why I hate storylines, brr...

The messages are really boring, humor-like texts, they may make laugh a little children, but not an older person! The people are crying, laughing, and making all the real people should do - even squint!

The music, as in every GameBoy game is a crap - poor music, like from an old pegasus games, that brings me only a headache. But wait! This's a gameboy game, I can't compare it with a PC game or an MP3 CD Music! For a GameBoy the music is quite good, It could sound really good in better quality. The music keeps climate of the game - the low tones in a dangerous situations, sad music when you loose the game - fantastic!

The graphic is a very nice, clean pixelart, just as it should be. Unfortunately, the graphics on a battlefield aren't very detailed, but I guess it must be like that. Between the fights we've got scenes, as the one above, where the story moves forward, but sometimes they're mixed with a very nice pictures, looking like drawn. Also we see our party traveling across the world, from one city to another, however - not the full map of the world, but only the one part of it.

Gameplay is great, just as I've remember it - good tactic situations - not too easy, not too hard, just perfect. The story maybe isn't the best, but is taking us inside with new characters, skills and different characteristics, that I wasn't bored even after hours of playing. The game is really long - I don't know how long is a play time in hours, but it'll take you a lot of time to explore the colorfull world and tons of interesting situations in-game.

    My opinion on the game;

Graphic: 7/10 - the characters on a tactic map could be more detailed.
Sound: 6/10 - good music in bad quality.
Gameplay: 9/10 - because nothing is perfect.
Overall: 8/10 - a lot of fun, if you don't care about music.

    Note
Sorry, if my review isn't grammatically correct. I'm not from England and my English lack in grammar, so I'll be thankful if you'll mark my mistakes.

You should give points like IGN does, which means you have to add "lasting appeal" and make it x/50. They will say add some more letters but I think its awesome! Great game, great review! Best GBA game I think.

Ahem I dun want to be the dickhead but is's Fire Emblem 8: The Sacred Stones

...could have taken out the "gba music sucks" bit-we all knew that-should stick to comparing it to other gba games.

And from the looks of it-you seem to be bashing the game for it's technical limits-it's like reviewing super mario brother's (NES) and saying how bad everything is.

But your grammer is fine-I'm from australia-remember international site-your doing ok so far XD

I give you 7/10-if you didn't bash the game's limits (the sprites were held back on gameplay for quick flow and to be simerlar to older one's-even the ds one has that still-and all fire emblem games dis regard graphic power-seen the gamecube and wii one's?) this would have been great.

    Good work though otherwise :)

If it has to be like that-make it out of 100-I hate 50!

Out of ten is fine-easier :)

    An okay review.
But it could do with more information regarding it's gameplay and mechanics.

This was my favourite FE game, it was more challenging than sacred stones IMO.

    as for grammar and spelling...

should be 'information', it has no plural spelling

should be 'they may make little children laugh'

I don't really understand what you're saying here...
but i'll point out you should never use the word 'and' after a comma

There are more but they are not too bad.

    Welcome to the forum.

I bash a ton of things on its technical limit.
Look at Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords (More on the former).
Graphics are just like the SNES version, slightly crisper. The music is just like the SNES version. Of course it's not going to sound like 5.1 Stereo, but at least it doesn't sound like a blown out tweeter bleeding out its own ass (cough! NDS speakers).

    On to the review.
I would say this is close to acceptable as a standard review, but because it's Fire Emblem and because Fire Emblem has such an engrossing story, and overall addictiveness, I'm going to expect a lot more on this review than any other. Same goes for that Grandia II review that's on here.

    Boxart is always pic #1.
Try not to space out your paragraphs so much and lengthen them or combine them. You'll need more text to have this pass. This is a good first attempt, but you'll need a little bit of tweaking.

Too short. Note insanecrazy07's tips! You can write A LOT more on a Fire Emblem game.
