GBA Emulator on DSTWO won\'t save

So, that's basically it. I already installed the emulator on my DSTWO and put in some games and it runs fine. The only problem is, whenever I make an In-game save, it says it saved. But when I restart my DS the saves are gone. Any help would be very appreciated.

Also, the save states work fine, but I'd rather have normal in-game saves since save states tend to break the game. :-\

I think you actually need to quit out of the emulator for it to register your in-game saves. Might be wrong though. Are the saves present on your MicroSD?

No. The only .sav file in there was the one for golden sun which I transferred from my playthrough using visualboy on the pc.
    And even that won't load.

you wont be able to use a visualboy save file on the DSTwo emulator.

Oh. I see. So then, how DO you save on the emulator?
It seems that no matter what I do, the game won't create a save file.

i cant remember what you need to do exactly but try touching the screen or pressing x and y it will take you to an in game menu where you can save

I tried that, but that only works for save states. I meant how to save in-game.
Anyways, I already figured it out.

It turns out that you have to exit the emulator first in order for it to dump the .sav file in your microSD.
So, thanks to Nathan Drake for the tip.
