I'm trying to collect all Advance Wars game cartridges. GBA: 0095 - Advance Wars - USA (v1.0) 0299 - Advance Wars - USA (v1.1) 1060 - Advance Wars 2 - Black Hole Rising - USA DS: 0088 - Advance Wars - Dual Strike - USA 1964 - Advance Wars Days of Ruin - USA I already got the green colored games on my list games. now only the first of the series is missing (red colored on my list) but they have released v1.0 and later v1.1 of the same game. how can I understand that I'm getting the latest one while I'm buying the cartridge ?
Check for a serial number on the cart, if one is present you can most likely use that, otherwise I don't think there are any visual indicators.
I tried my best to find any visible clue to distinguish them but I couldn't find any resources. do we know what are the game play differences ? They wouldn't create a new version if it was not needed. So I expect that, there was a real problem in the first cartridge. I will be very happy if any member of this community can tell me any further information. thank you.
Re: GBA - Advance Wars - how can I distinguish the v1.1 while buying the cartrid I just bought a used copy of Advance Wars (the first one) and my collection for GBA and DS is complete right now. still I feel uneasy because of that v1.0 vs v1.1 cartridge difference. I wish I could know. and I hope I have the v1.1
