Well for English, I'm supposed to make like a little fortress thing, but I'm gona be special and make a fortress then blow it up with a small explosive ;D It needs to be to scale and the explosive is the problem.

Anybody know how to make a small explosive that will blow up in a shoe box sized radius??

Coca-cola, Mentos (candy), and a sealable bottle. It's relatively safe.

The simple pressure building explosion is the way to go. It's pretty much harmless, no fire, very little shrapnel (The bottle rarely splinters, just splits open along the seams.

I know... I'm just assuming he's putting the project in a safe, explosive proof container :3

I was always a fan of sparkler dust with a sparkler as the fuse which should be relatively safe provided it is done outside.

an air pump and a relatively small balloon with thick skin that would make a large pop.
