I’m setting up an R4 for a friend of my brother and I’m having a problem with some games, most notably Pokemon SoulSilver and Pokemon Black. Both of them keep showing up as corrupt on the DS and they won’t play. I have the exact same roms and firmware on my own R4 and they work perfectly. Ive searched Google but I found no answers.
Is the microSD chip bigger then 2GB ?, If your R4 is an original it can take no bigger then 2GB Are mabe a good format of the Chip with Panasonic SD formatter, Save all you can get off it frist though
Are you able to format it, alow you to i mean ?, and start again with firmware Also enuth space are on there at 250MB each it will take a whole 500MB half a gig
I did that before coming here. I formatted the MicroSD and reinstalled everything but the same problem persists.
http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/sd/download/index.html Panasonic SD Formatter, Should "Defrag" the MicroSD Chip as well
Pokemon Black is working but SoulSilver and now 4 other games a showing as corrupt which didn’t previously.
Jesus, How can an micro SD chip have this much issues with corruption... I will leave it to someone with exp in these matters to help you out, anyone ?
I seem to be making progress. I formatted the MicroSD again with the Full (Overwrite) option this time and so far everything looks good. I’m putting the games on the cart 3 games at a time and checking to make sure they aren’t corrupted. I’ll edit this post with the end results. EDIT: Well Pokemon Black is still showing as corrupt but everything else is showing up fine. I'll see if White will be more cooperative. EDIT EDIT: Nah Pokemon White shows as corrupt also. I has a sad EDIT EDIT EDIT: By request of my brother’s friend I installed the games and firmware on a different MicroSD and it all works perfectly. This would seem to be a problem with the actual MicroSD itself and not the games or firmware.
