Games freeze on loading

    DSTT Cart, 2Gb ScanDisk micro DS, NDS Lite, Menu V1.15 (Latest)

    New to all this so may have missed a previous answer, sorry if this is the case.

    My understanding is that the filename.NDS should be put into the root of the micro SD for each game loaded. When I do this the games often (but not always) fail to load and stop with the message "file loading" on screen.

    I did format and reload the games onto a new card with the same result, after a further format I in error put the folder containing the .NDS file into the SD root and the game now runs perfectly.

    Question was my initial understanding wrong or is there some other problem? is it valid to load the game in a folder of the same name in the root as I have now done.

    .nds games go to the nds folder
    update your firmware or one or two of your equipment is fake
    ive got nothing else
