Gamepadproblem

Hi,
have the follow problem with my Gamepad (similar to a PS Dualshock - same look, same functions, etc.):
The Pad works with most of the Games, but with old Games like MegaMan X4 or Marvel Super Heroes the Analogsticks and the Digitalcontrol refuse their work. The other buttons function without any problem and switching between Analog- and Digital Mode on the Controller and with the F5 button (I use ePSXe 1.7.0) is useless.

So please can somebody help me - I hate to play the Games with the Keyboard.

Does the gamepad controller work with the same games on an older version of ePSXe?

Not really, just sometimes using older or newer versions work. Please do not use shorthand like 'thx' as it is against the [rules].......
