Ok guys i wanted to put some games from pc to my gamecube.Super Smash Bros Melee and Luigi's Mansion.I bought 2 mini DvD-R and burn the games. And then when i put the games in my gamecube console it told me no disk and no disk everytime.Any ideas? THNX
Sounds plausible, but it would still have to be on an older console as well, before whatever year the "Platinum" console released.
Nothing really I used "platinum" as a benchmark I owned one and AR wouldn't work in it and tested it in 3 or 4 others and still wouldn't work traded it to a friend for a purple one and lo and behold it worked so I blamed the platinum colors but I wasn't sure the year it came out, and come to find out it was 2002 and THUS GameCubes with model DOL-101 or newer action replay will not work in.
Yep, swap disc method or mod chip. But it's not JUST mod chipping, the internal disc read laser neds to be adjusted as it's set to not even see dvd disc, only the gamecube optical disc (which are NOT dvd's)
There are multiple methods (as I discovered when looking to mod my Gamecube). Originally, there was a particular Action Replay that helped to play burned games, but the site that sold them no longer sells them. Thus, you're stuck prowling eBay. You'll have to google some, as I forgot what the exact Action Replay was. There is actually a new-ish method. It requires the use of a homebrew launcher for the Gamecube (easy to find) that uses a memory stick of some sort. You use some custom made exploits for it and it basically does what the old Action Replay does. The homebrew launchers are still actively sold.
