Hey guys, I was browsing the GameCube ISOs and noticed there are no titles past Rugrats. Could someone look into restoring the S-Z titles? There are a few I am looking for, and would enjoy browsing the rest as well. Thanks.

They have not been added yet.

Gamecube games have just recently been added, and it takes some time to get them all listed.

You will have to wait until the rest are added.

It's not even been a month since we announced we would start adding GameCube. The ISOs are a good 1 GB in size each, and we have to decompress the original scene release, rename and then compress it again. Is it too much to ask for a little patience? Please? 500 GB does not get processed and added over night.

    Can I just ask?

On another site I use (won't list-use them just to retain pal game saves for recently sold games) I noticed some of rom's games are much larger than thiers.

Donkey konga 2 (nstc) is 234MB-whole compressed file.

    Here it's 1.30GB-barley compressed.

Is that because it's quicker to open (took a minute to open the other one) or just different ripping process made different files?

Sorry-just an odd thing I noticed-with files like that I could downloads games in 2 hours on my unstable speed.

That's most likely because ours are full ISOs, there's no data ripped out. Using a different compression algorithm would not have brought it down to 234 MB.

either their games have data removed (trimmed or ripped) or they're using pretty heavy duty compression. Or both.

The site doesn't mention if they are ripped-and from what I played it is indeed full-no fmv in donkey konga2.

I assume heavy compression-one thing I didn notice is that some of thier games is the files when un-packed may occasionally not match up with 1.35gb.

Yet they play like full (zelda 4 swords-as an example-came with fast iso fix but .gcm file size was still tiny).

One thing to note is inside the main rar file is several parts inside-say like part 1-2 for example...

Prehaps that's why-it's compressed several times in each part and then all in one rar files.

It would be interesting to see here but alas-it was disturbing sight to see-imagine any people new to rar files-they'd be lost!

Easy to open-just weird to see.

    Oh well.

No, that's not it. It's not possible to compress game data that much extra, even if they use heavy duty compression it would not give that much smaller file size. The only way to get that file size is to rip or down sample game data.

    Thanks Admin, Seph...

I like the site, and happy with it so far (minus the missing points, which I saw in another post you guys are working on). I would like to point out, that not all users have been here for long enough to know that GameCube games are recent. I am a newbie here, less than a week I've been to the site, so as far as I know GameCube has been here for 10 years. I joined the site because I could get GameCube ISOs. I respect the answer that they need time, but please don't assume that I am impatient. Member since: 15-09-2009

Hrm-I might ask one of the site admins how they did it-planning on ripping my own.

    When uncompressed-like donkey konga one-it's 1.35gb from memory-but compressed it's about 2-300MB.

But after a recemt check some games do equel romU's downloads-nightfire is infact same.

Prehaps they did alter the iso's.

Hrm, this I'd like to find out-time for another learning quest!
