I don't know much about running backups on the GC, but I do know that it won't work without some form of modding. You can't just burn the game and expect it to work. As for playing them on the Dreamcast, nope. It's less powerful than the GC, and you can't simply convert a game to run on a different platform. So basically, you will need some form of modding, or possibly an SD Gecko.

P.S. This should really be in technical help, seeing as you're asking for help, and it's technical.

Your gamecube would need one of the following options...

    1.Mod chip.

But this isn't like the ps2 chips-they also need the laser pot to be tweaked so they can read mini dvd's-the gc's are meant to run those optical disc not mini dvd's...

And it's needs to be spot on-too much wrecks the life span-too little means some or all mini dvd's fail.

But small chance that you can just chip it...

    2.Soft mod.

Not firmware or anything-a special memory card and a boot disc that allows back up games to work.

    Problem is....it's hard to find.
