hi i want to ask if anyone here tried to translate a game from japanese to english before? i am a huge JRPG fan and maybe i want to try to do a translation for some JRPGs such as Black matrix PSX. need some guide here ..thanks
Fan translate from Japanese to English or whatever language? Many had done so. Some takes few weeks, months, years, or never see the day of enlightment. Some partially done, some completed. How to? That depends on what game, what platform, what and which files needed to be handle, etc. Some files easy to work around, others might be trickier. Some might even need you to edit images, fix bugs, fix sound, etc. Tools wise, check Cahos' links. All in all, it depends on how serious, dedicated, and skillful you are. Some if not many drop out even before trying, especially when they find working on the files is not like flipping your hands.
