Hello. I have just purchased a DS and am awaiting my R4 and MicroSD. In the meantime, I am browsing the games. This is COMPLETELY new to me. So I was wondering if there is a display software to browse through these games when downloaded. For example, in iTunes you have you 1000s of songs just dumped in it, but can view by the cover art, or sort by rating, genre or other factors, etc. Is there software where I can organize all these games that I am downloading? If this is posted elsewhere, I apologize. I looked through some topics but didn't see this readily out there. Thank you.
It should display an icon-just like a ds in manual mode (see a little icon with some info on it) I've yet to see an r4 (and opposed to them now the market is full of fakes...that and lots of people keep asking "how do I start this" because unlike other cards it requires a bit of work to run) but it should be the same as other's like the acekard or dsTT.
Are you looking for a ROM organizer for your PC? I've not found any that I liked enough to keep. If you google "DS ROM Organizer" you'll find a few hits. I just installed EvoTools from team cyclops which gives you Icons for all your ROMs just like they are on the DS.
But doesn't the flashcard have it's own viewer? Sure you have to jump into the directory where they are, but shouldn't it come up? The acekard has that-shows rom details like how it would appear as real cart-doesn't the r4 as well?
Thanks for all the responses. As I reread my initial question, it seems a little confusing. So let me clarify: on my PC where all the games will be stored whenever I download one, I would like to be able to browse through those games with more than just the file list in the Windows Explorer. I am not looking for a browser on the DS itself. Here are some pictures of what I would like to do from my computer .... just pretend these are games instead of songs. This would be a great view of games for the kids to pick which ones I should load. I would like to have filtering ability, such as is found in this browser. I can limit what I saw to the game rating (E, E10, T, M, etc) and/or by the type of game (kids, action, fighting, space, etc), and other filtering options.
I thought the poster wanted to know about the ds one-as I previously said... I guess I confused the poster-sorry thare
Hi, I'm the creater from DSROM Organizer There are plenty of filters in my program. and since I am in the stages of Version 2.0, there will be a lot of changes in there. I will see if I can create a Icon form, itself just check out my program, and if you have any questions or request, just send it through the program. the new Beta's that are coming up for the testers, will have some nice new features in it.
