Freezing game

Ok this is weird. Or normal and I am an idiot either way I can't find an answer using the search button.

Ok, I downloaded the ISO for Valkyrie Profile since I love the game and can't find it anywhere. So whats going on is I get to the first save point in the game then when the army is coming up behind you and the screen goes black. Then the lettering shows up saying something like it looks like they had a weeks time then the letters won't leave. The music plays normaly, I can even bring up the text screen to see what they said last but the story won't go any further. Now before I get a simple it must be because your computer is too slow fat chance, I can insure you its not my computer, I am just new to the PSX emulator.

 

Ok now here is how it goes. I get to the next dark screen then it freezes. I used a different plugin this time I used pete's 1. something the newest and I cofigured it alittle differently so now it goes a bit farther but I guess I need help figuring out the true plugins and all to run the game perfect. Sound isn't bad at all though.

The game freezes not because of the plugins but I think when you are using the savestates.. I used epsxe1.6 with the same plugins as yours, and I used eternalSPU on sounds.. Ok, now here it goes, just normally save in the game, not using the savestates or the quicksave.. Then normally load it.. And done.. it will not freeze anymore.. Don't know if this solution work, but it does to me.. ^_^
