    Hello.

Can anyone tell me why FRAPS won't record the inGame sounds?
It records my microphone perfectly but it won't record inGame sounds.

    I'm using a Windows XP 32bit
The microphone/headset is the Yapster tm-yb100a

    Thank you

the record source needs to be changed to 'stereo mix' or 'what u hear' if your sound card driver allows it. If it doesn't, you're SOL, its to prevent people copying music by recording their music player.

Right click anywhere and press "Show disabled devices", after that right click Stereo Mix and click Enable.

Not all audio chips have stereo mix available (its usually implemented, but may be disabled internally by the driver).

Never mind, I decided to simply use Total Recorder to record any game sounds. Thank you all for your assistance though.
