Formatting a new Acecard for DSi (do I deffo need a DS Lite to do it)

    Hi all,

    My two boys have a DSi fitted with an Acecard 2i each, and for a certain reason, we have lost one of the cards :'( .

    Fortunately when I bought the Acecards, I got a spare one, just in case!

    My question is, do I definitely need a a DS Lite to 'format' the new card or is there any way I can copy everything from my one original card, to the new one?

    If the cart does not have the 1.4.1 update applied then you need either a DS or a pre 1.4.1 DSi to apply the 1.4.1 update.

    No, the cart is brand new, just as it came from the Far east.

    Just checked the DSi and it has Ver 1.4E showing.

    Can I do anything with that and if so how?
