I'am trying to format my C Drive but everytime i try to format this message come out

Window cannot format this drive. Quit any Disk Utiliies or other programs that are using, and make sure that no window is displaying the content of the drive. Than try formatting again.

But i did not run any program at that time so why cant i format it ??

if you don't know how to make/use a boot disk you probably shouldn't be trying to format your system drive...

Hey PhantomKid. If you don't have a copy of the operating system, don't format your C Drive. because once you format your C drive, you cannot boot into it any longer. All your settings, programs, data, etc. will be gone.

I am just reminding phantom just incase. not everyone knows 1+1=2. Everyone have to start from somewhere. because he doesn't seems to know what's a bootdisk is (he asked about buying it). So I just want to make sure and save him from all the trouble.

that's naive to think that way and jacoblam365 sees what i see.
not everyone is computer literate and not everyone can understand it.
anyway, don't format [delete] your computer unless you own an operating system [windows xp, vista, etc...].

Why do you want to format C: in the first place? Reinstall Windows or something?
