FlashGet 2.11.0.1188?

Doe's FlashGet 2.11.0.1188 exist? Because I've seen it on a few sites and was thinking of downloading it but I don't know if I should (might have a virus) 'cause on the homepage it says the latest version is 1.9.6

Latest stable version is FlashGet 1.9.6.1073.

It seems that Flashget 2.0 has just been released .

 

Is there a difference between that and the 1.9.6 version?

 

I don't really know because I don't use it.

It's a download manager.

Download managers don't magically speed up your internet. They split downloaded files across several connections and download them simultaneously. On sites such as this one, where only one download at a time is permitted, they won't do you much good.

You can use them to pause and resume downloads, however.
