I used to use FCEUltra as my NES emulator until I found out how much powerful NEStopia is. It has such a high compatibility percentage & it has this neat feature that fixes incorrect iNES Headered games on emulation. If a game has incorrect data the emulator will say so & fixes it while the game is run, however this isn't an actual fix, the emulator just "emulates" a fix & it will require you to manually fix your ROM. Now my question is, what application do I use to fix NES ROMs with faulty iNES Headers? Anyone knows of which applet I must use?

If you use a Rom header tool, you can edit all the information of a ROM.

Which tool would you recommend? Actually I just had some problem with this NES ROM Yokai Kurabu, there was a recent translation released at RHDN for this game, but when I applied the patch the game gets corrupted. I'm guessing the faulty iNES Header is messing up the game when it gets patched. As I said it was through NEStopia how I found out that the ROM had a faulty header.

Why do you need to correct your NES ROM headers? I once knew of a application which had all of the NDS headers in a list, and then you just scrolled down to it and selected it to change the header.

As I said I only thought that maybe if I fixed the ROM's header, maybe the game wouldn't be messed up after I applied the translation patch. I was thinking, maybe even if the ROM I was using was a good dump, that NESTopia sees otherwise & if it did, maybe the ROM has problems, it's only a theory though. Because I've tried like five times now & the file was always messed up after I patched it.

Okay then, I'll see if I can locate the application on my computer(I have it somewhere), if not, I'll look for one online.
