So, here's the situation. I opened the ROM directly from a shortcut on my desktop with VBA closed. I started a new game, got it going, and saved. Then I quit the game by exiting out of VBA- there doesn't seem to be any other way to go about it. When I do this, a message appears: "Error! Error creating file Battery Saves/1636 -Pokemon- Fire Red Version (U).sav. I hit okay, and VBA and the ROM quit. Now, I reopened the ROM the same way, and it starts the game over, giving no indication that I ever saved the game. Does anyone have a solution?
