Hello, I currently have Emerald/RubY/Sapphire/LeafGreen/Firered on vba. It was not until recently i noticed if I save on EM/RY/SA, I unknowingly delete my FR and LG saves. The same happens when i save a FR/LG game which somehow deletes/erases my RY/SA/EM. I am completely stumped as to why each of those 2 groups delete one another when i save in one of those groups. Can anyone enlighten me and tell me if there is a fix for this? I was really looking forward to trading between the RS/SA/EM and FR/LG versions. Note: Does the trading between FR & LG use wireless or wired transfer? Does the trading between FR/LG & RS/SA/EM use wireless or wired transfer? Thanks in advance
Maybe your save files have the same name (unlikely but possible). Normally they all use wired transfer but I don't understand why you ask since you play on PC.
hmm well they dont have the same names; i checked that already. The reason i asked about trading is that FR & LG has a wireless option. I just assumed the wireless = wifi. I dont know for sure; i never used wireless.
Ah ok I see.... But does anyone have any idea why I cant have a save of FR/LG & R/S/E simultaneously?
no idea, aside you having the roms named with the same title i have no more clues, toy around with VBA settings or switch to VBA-M
Now im pretty sure they dont have the same names; but if you recall in VBA, some guides tell us to set up a 1.72 and a 1.80 file. I usually save FR/LG into the 1.80 and R/S/E into 1.72 but it still somehow erases each other. If someone here is able to play FR/LG with R/S/E with no problems and can trade and save between them; can you tell me how you setup your files or any other way you did it?

I have no prob trading from FR to LG or vice versa & R/S/E to each other Im also pretty sure I could trade between those 2 groups But it is just the save files that dont seem to work. I dont see why one group deletes the other. When i save on ruby it doesnt delete my sapphire or if i save on FR it doesnt delete LG. I think it has to do whether what version of vba im using. Do you think i would have to use the same vba when im using FR and Emerald saves or am i meant to be using different vba versions?
Ive tried that; doesnt work Post Merge: [time]1341920831[/time] Update: I have figured out the problem. Using in-game saves apparently isnt enough. I needed at least 1 save state for each individual game. So its fixed now; but thanks for your inputs. ...but now for some reason ruby and sapphire save over each other as if it were one game. But oh well... Thanks again
