I'm having some problems with Firefox. When I start it, it says "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system."

I opened up Task manager, and checked the Processes, but there was no firefox.exe process. So I restarted my computer, and tried again. Didn't work. So I reinstalled Firefox. Still didn't work. I'm sure it's not a virus of some sort, I'm always protected. And yes, that means I'm currently using Internet Explorer. Any ways to fix this (Loony help)?

Finally got it working, had to create a whole new Firefox profile. Damn, have to get all my addons and themes back, as well as all my bookmarks.

I would have said delete your profile folders.

Yeah, I tried to delete this parent.lock thing, but it was corrupt or something. To fix it, I had to run chkdsk, but it took too long, might try it this weekend.

Hm, seems to have happened again, I just had to open up the firefox.exe -profilemanager process again and relocate my profile. All working now. Seems to always happen when I quit out Firefox during an addon download. Guess I shouldn't do that :p
