    Just found the first one.

"At this rate, it is like[ly] he will never leave" - Cid (before mission #2 at the pub)

Also, are barkeeps known as barman, or barmen in europe?

I wonder if they changed it to barkeep in the US version. (it's been barkeep in FFX-2 and FFXII for US)

are there any other localization changes?
Like my Dark Flan/Dark Purin problem earlier?

Yes. They might have made an error when dumping, or that's on purpose. It can't be because Square Enix made a mistake, they get several people to play the game thoroughly to check :)

Well look at FF7 and how many grammatical errors they made in that.
I hope they have improved since '97.

I also hate how the EU or US version will have different names for stuff (US mostly because of censorship. ie. earlier FF installments like FF4)

if it says Demon, then put Demon, not something else.
if it says Holy, then put Holy.

sometimes the japanese name is completely changed when translated in the US or EU versions. (now we have confusion on is X person the same person as Y?)
ahem. Aeris --> Aerith. BLEH! Sounds like the spanish lisp that most "Spain" spanish speakers have.

edit: needed my --> to actually point to the name, not off of the screen.

Sometimes the word Holy etc. is offensive to other countries etc. so they take this information and modify the respective release of the games. This is in other cases too. Would be good if they could keep everything the same though.

Believe me you don't know anything about the translation errors.

    German version of FF7:

Sometimes there are sentences completely in English.

There are moments they are turning from german to english in the middle of the sentence.

    examples:
    Bahamut ZERO -> Bahamut NULL
There is absolutely no reason in translating proper nouns.

An original sentence from the german version:
It's all in there read it sorgfältig durch.
Square, I don't mind if you use a foreign language, but please don't change in the middle of a sentence.

in the japanese version of FFIV DS, HP, MP, EXP, etc. are all in english.

other random things are in english as well, i just can't remember all of them since mine is patched so it is partially translated.
