Try using a better emulator such as ePSXe or pSX.

Get decent plugins and configure them properly. Which ones do you use? The default ones I presume.

I answered this problem before and I posted a screenshot of my settings.

    It's somewhere on this board.
I think the topic was started by nbadell, but I'm not sure.

I had that problem when I first tried the game, I use the ePSXe, go in to the Graphic Config, Not sure which plugin I'm using, I think it's the last one on the list. Go in to the special game fixes and change some the setting in there. I'm not sure which ones to set off the top of my head. I just messed with it until I it worked.

if it had a special fixes section it would be one of pete's drivers. Additionally use the 'nice' graphics settings

yes, that was me that started that topic.
here is what plugins i use to play final fantasy
    video-pets's OpenGl Driver 1.76
sound- P.E.O.p.S DSound Audio Driver 1.9
cdrom plugin-Mooby2 cd disk image driver 2.8
now stop the frame skip thing(or, just put it at like, 150.)

Is there any fix, or could it just be a bad dump?

Mostly likely it's not the ISO that is the problem,
