Alright, so I've played FFIV for a good 13 hours already, and it's ran perfectly. No glitches at all, perfectly loading, et cetera.

At the point where I am in the game, the characters are about to open the portal to the Underworld by placing the Magma Stone in the well in Agart.

The point is, I think the game is trying to enter into a cutscene, and it just completely fails -- both screens go black, the sound cuts off, and nothing I do affects the output. I tried searching to see if anyone else had this problem, but it seems it's just me -- and I don't want to be stuck here when I'm already so far! I've tried loading it twice already, to no avail... but I'll keep trying just in case.

I'm using the R4, with the most recent firmware, version 1.18. Any suggestions are welcome, as I'm somewhat desperate to continue my game.

Okay, try backing up all your data and reformatting your MicroSD. What brand is it anyway?

It's an AData card, but I've never had problems with it before and I've been using it for quite some time... I'm backing up the data and reformatting it now, if not I might even just try a different microSD card since I have a few lying around. Hopefully this will work, thank you very much!

Okay, if that doesn't work, it's probably since your ADATA card isn't fast enough.

Reformatting the card did the trick! Thank you!
