Final Fantasy IV (nds) not working for me

    Hi, im new here to the site (previously used nds-roms but romulation is so much more user-friendly) and not sure if this is where i post this, so please tell me if im posting this in the wrong place.

    Anyway, im having trouble with Final Fantasy IV and Trauma centre: Under the knife 2 roms for the Ds. FF IV freezes on a white screen when i start the game up and Trauma centre 2 comes up with the message "Could not acces data. Please turn off the power and re insert DS card"

    Is anyone having this problem or is it just me and is there a fix for it.

    (By the way im using R4DS with moonshell)

    Update

    Updated my firmware to R4DS version 1.8 (latest version) and Trauma centre under the knife 2 is working :D
    However Final Fantasy IV still freezes at the start of the game ???

    I tried all the methods mentioned in the topic and FF IV still didnt work so im just going to assume that the Rom is faulty. Thanks anyway.

    freezing does not indicate a faulty rom, it usually means you have a substandard microSD that can't transfer data fast enough.

    My microSD is the sandisk one that came with the pack (2GB space but only half full). Sorry to bother its just i have never had this problem. I can live without FF IV.

    I also have this kind of problem.. It freezes on a white screen..

    Then backup all your data and reformat your MicroSD.

    Go to http://r4ds.cn/download/r4.html#1, download the latest kernel (R4 V1.18 kernel).

    It works with my R4.

    Hope it helps
