The Disc One ISO that I have right now for Final Fantasy 9 screws up at a cut scene in the village after the Ice Cavern. When it does that, it freezes and its stops playing. So I'd like to know if the Disc One ISO from this site works well, and won't do that. Any help will be great, thanks.

its unlikely to be the ISO at fault, more likely its your emulator configuration.

    What plugins are you using?

Yup, this is a known issue if you're talking about what I think you are. Are you using ePSXe 1.6.0? Maybe 1.7 or whatever the latest version is has the same issue too. Anyways, when it happened to me, I had to download 1.5.2, replace 1.5.2's blank memory cards with 1.6.0's cards, continue past the area using 1.5.2, and then switch the memory cards back to continue playing on 1.6.0.

If you're not using 1.7 (or whatever) you could try that instead, too. Otherwise, yeah, it's a bit of a pain.

I'm using P.E.Op.S for the video, sound, and Cdrom plugins. And i'm using 1.6.0, so if I need to switch to an earlier version of the emulator, how would I switch the blank cards that come with it to the ones I use now?

I used the 1.7 version and unlike 1.6 it works. You might want to switch to the latest one. And if you want to switch the cards, I believe you can switch that by simply copying over the memory cards or uh...you can change the memory cards by changing it in the Config options. ^^

Copy memory cards from epsxe160>memcards to epsxe152>memcards (copy over the blank ones), continue your game, save after the point that it crashes. Then, copy the epsxe152>memcards files over the old ones in epsxe160>memcards. Or, if what coalfire says is true (and I don't doubt it) just use ePSXe 1.7.0 (what you would do in this scenario is just to instead copy the memory card files from epsxe160>memcards to epsxe170>memcards).

Probably corrupted or failed download. Download it again.
