is there anyway to fix the sound with ff7 on ePSXe, seems to go bodgy at times during gameplay, get static, fuzzy noises, usualy the sound goes weird after u enter combat, do all the emulators have the same problem with it?

I never had a prob with FFVII using 1.7.0, perhaps try a different sound plugin or configuration.

seems to do the trick, difficult to find 1 that has sounds that are like the original sound effects though

try Pete Bernert's spu plugin, its the P.E.Op.S. DSound PSX SPU v1.9. I didn't find any problem since i was using a p3, now im using pentium dc with intel dg31pr chipset, and it runs smoother. the only problem i have encountered was the battle swirl. the original seems to swirl but in epsxe using pete's gpu plugin with the battle swirl fix, it does fine and it doesn't swirl. ^_^

download it here.. http://www.pbernert.com/spupeopsdsound109.zip. please edit my post if its illegal.. thanks!

yeh deffinately fix's the swirl, when tifa hits though it sounds so weird hahah, like something from an old atari game , petes direct 1 sounds a bit better but the swirl is bad, pity they can't combine both , would be perfect then XD

ok i found the perfect sound plugin now for ff7 everything is perfect seems to work great with other games to use this

    Eternal Spu plugin 1.41

    audio device= direct sound
    buffer size= 40
    audio out method= thread

    all game fixes ticked

after doing this, all the games i've been playing have had perfect sound, everything sounds as it should.
