Final Fantasy 4

Hi,
I downloaded FFIV (U) for ds but when i try to play the game the screen turns white....
my cousin has it and it works for him. i have v1.18 for my r4 for every language so now im very confused. ???
Any ideas?

 

ummm lets see i got winrar.... all i did was drag the file off the winrar page to my desktop then onto my r4. is that right?

 

yea it said nds but it still has a white screen when i try....

 

You'll probably have to wait for new firmware, sorry, since 1.18 is the latest. You could try using an older firmware version though, see if that works. http://www.linfoxdomain.com/ds/

 

yea.... that kinda confuses me cuz my cousin has it working.... so uh your sayin he might not have 1.18 but a different one?

 

No, doesn't matter about the language of firmware you downloaded. Unless, your cousin is using a different language or something, try using his firmware that he has on his MicroSD.

 

well he lives in NJ and im in DE so that might not be able to happen.... would it be the same if i just asked him what version he used and downloaded it?

My cousin didnt know which version he had because he wasnt home so i tried all of them and had no luck... i really dont understand why his works and mine doesnt...

try formatting your SD card.

 

My rom freezes on the second dungeon, when I try talk to the old pink geezer. It looks like it's going to become a cutscene, but then the screen stays black ??? what the heck ???

 

The white screens generally happen because of the firmware, not the speed, although backing up all your data and reformatting your card might work. ^If you've already updated to the latest firmware of your flashcart (I assume), reformat.

 

how do i format an sd card?

 

take everything off of your memory stick and put them in an easy-to-find folder on your computer and then right click the memory stick and hit Format.

then put everything back on.

Which part? Do both of them. If that doesn't fix it, it could be your MicroSD etc. is too slow. What brand is the card that you use?
